Energy

Energy markets are an exciting area of the markets, including both Oil and Natural Gas products. These markets are highly volatile, and can react strongly to any news coming out of OPEC. Additionally, geopolitical factors affecting supply and demand for energy can move prices quickly.

We offer the major oil products in Brent Crude and WTI (West Texas Intermediate) Crude – with low spreads and high leverage to leverage every opportunity. These oils move on many of the same global factors, but also have their own distinct local supply drivers which can create divergences and trading opportunities.

Trader often consider Natural Gas one of the more volatile of the energy products. It can move quickly based on shorter term weather and seasonal issues. While this market can have dramatic moves, they can often be more temporary in nature. As a result, those movements can revert after supply and demand issues are resolved. This can make it popular with mean-reversion traders.

Agricultural

Agricultural commodities are a great way to trade the consumable commodities. These are used to make everyday food and beverage products. In general, there are two categories based on shared characteristics – soft commodities and grains.

Soft commodities are those you might use every day almost in their raw form, such as Coffee, Cocoa and Sugar. While these aren’t far from the end products you use day to day, they do have different sources and varieties. There are two main varieties of Coffee. With blends and instant coffee using the more bitter Robusta variety. Arabica is more prized in single origin use. Similarly, we offer Sugar in white and raw sugars. Markets value each underlying futures contract differently.

Grains are the familiar agricultural harvests that go into everything from bread to soy milk. They include Corn, Wheat, Soybean and Oat products and represent very large and important inputs to feeding the global economy. These commodities can move based on local and global supply factors, and are impacted by changes in climate and weather that result in harvest differences. The variety of commodities gives you ample opportunity to trade on trends that are less influenced by monetary policy and factors that impact FX and Indices, and more unique to the commodity space itself.
