A VPS is like having a computer running directly in our high performance datacentre. Similar to your PC you can install applications, run your EAs and customize a VPS to your needs. The difference is that it’s co-located in our Equinix London Datacentre.

There is a simplified version available with MetaTrader 5. Rather than hosting a full, customizable machine, MetaQuotes lets you run just a single EA or strategy on their hardware. This provides a simpler option when you just want to run an EA, and don’t need a full windows environment to manage.

How to Use One at TabTrade?

  • Open a TabTrade account.
  • Request VPS hosting as an add-on in your Secure Account Portal.
  • Choose your provider and location.
  • Receive your VPS details via email and connect.

Through a MetaTrader 5 VPS, you can enable an EA to run remotely near our servers without the complexity of a full VPS. To use one, you can:

  • Log in to your TabTrade account in MT5
  • Find your account in the Navigator window
  • Right click on your account and choose Register a Virtual Server.
  • You will then find your VPS under that same account. Choose your synchronization mode to get started
  • You can manage your VPS from here, stopping, restarting or cancelling as you need.
